Letter: Reuse is smarter alternative

The Columbian
Published: April 28, 2014, 5:00pm

We all know keeping your electronics out of the landfill is important to our environment. There are many places to take your unwanted electronics. We believe for Clark County that we at Empower Up are the local choice to make. Empower Up is a nonprofit organization that accepts used electronics.

Why use Empower Up? Your unwanted electronics are used to help community volunteers learn valuable skills to use for future employment while achieving our first goal to reuse your items and return them to the community.

While recycling is an excellent way to reduce how much waste ends up in a landfill, and we do responsibly recycle items that are at end of life, our ReUse store is the best alternative.

Visit www.empowerup.org for more information.
