The condition of a Portland man injured in a motorcycle crash on Monday has improved.

Darcy Harding, 51, was sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in critical condition following the crash reported at 11:22 a.m. Monday, but was upgraded to satisfactory condition Thursday.

Harding was driving a Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic south on the highway in rural Cowlitz County and slowed for a yield sign before the motorcycle fell to the left and struck the pavement near the Yale Bridge, according to Washington State Patrol.

Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
