Letter: Walking carelessly leads to danger

In my town, the kids walk blindly right into the street, never even looking if there is a vehicle coming, always on their cellphone, never watching. Whatever happened to looking both ways when crossing the street? Please address this issue. My worst nightmare is hitting someone’s child.
