Girls basketball: Battle Ground 55, Woodland 47

Jossilyn Blackman had 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Tigers won their third game in a row, defeating Woodland at the Hoops on the Holiday tournament at Evergreen High School.

Battle Ground (3-5) jumped out to an 18-5 first-quarter advantage and led 34-22 at the half. Solid rebounding and limiting turnovers helped the Tigers maintain their edge.

Alena Jarvis had eight points and 10 assists, Kylie Smith had nine points and nine rebounds, and Grace Russell had six rebounds.

Grace Adams led Woodland in scoring with 12 points and seven rebounds, and Kendall Grell added 11 points and seven rebounds.
