New manager named at Westfield Vancouver

J.B. Schutte has been named general manager of Westfield Vancouver mall, Clark County’s largest retail center off state Highway 500 and Interstate 205. Schutte replaces Geoff Mason, who relocated to Germany after managing Westfield Vancouver for one year.

Schutte has a seven-year background with mall owner Westfield Group. He most recently worked in management for the Westfield Oakridge mall in San Jose, Calif. Schutte’s background also includes work for Best Buy, 7-Eleven, Staples and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Westfield Vancouver offers 151 retail stores, 26 restaurants and food vendors and a 23-screen cineplex, Cinetopia. It is owned by Westfield Group, an Australian-based company with a portfolio of 90 centers in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
