Girls basketball: Prairie 63, Union 47

The Prairie Falcons have their defense going, just in time for league play to begin.

The Falcons held the short-handed Titans to one point in the first quarter and rolled to their seventh consecutive victory.

Cherita Daugherty scored 19 points to lead the way. Lindsey Asplund added 10 points, and Nicole Goecke scored nine for the Falcons.

Katharine Williams led Union with 13 points. Hannah O’Donnel had 11. The Titans were missing two regular starters, out with illness and injury.
