Seven join ranks of Eagle Scouts

Seven Boy Scouts from the Fort Vancouver District successfully passed their Eagle Scout board of review in December. They have been advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout.

Cody Ormiston of Boy Scout Troop 14 completed a beautification project at Bagley Park for his Eagle project. An eighth-grader at Vancouver iTech Preparatory Middle School, Cody, 14, is a son of Michelle and Don Ormiston.

Andrew Sharratt, a sophomore at Heritage High School and member of Boy Scout Troop 770, restored trails at Whitaker Ponds at the Columbia Slough Watershed for his project. Andrew is 15 and a son of Tanya and Tom Sharratt.

Dylan McCann of Boy Scout Crew 441 cleaned headstones at Park Hill Cemetery for his Eagle project. Dylan, 18, is a son of Bruce and Jenell McCann. He is a home-schooled senior.

Two Scouts from Boy Scout Crew 904, Michael Stevens and Jonathan Nelson, both seniors at Skyview High School, completed their projects. Michael made coat racks for Northwest Children’s Outreach for his Eagle project. He is 17 and a son of R.D. and Joan Stevens. Jonathan made bat boxes for Hockinson Meadows Community Park for his project. He is 18 and a son of Dale and Leslie Nelson.

Coby Gardner of Boy Scout Crew 637 re-roofed a shelter at Battle Ground Lake State Park for his Eagle project. A son of Derek and Jillian Gardner, Coby is 17 and a senior at Hudson’s Bay High School.

A junior at Battle Ground High School, Cody Smith of Boy Scout Crew 371 collected items for the Share House shelter for his Eagle project. Cody, 17, is a son of Larry and Sherry Smith.
