Letter: Shorter show hardly worth effort

The Columbian
Published: July 9, 2014, 12:00am

Did I read the newspaper story correctly? The Fort Vancouver fireworks show lasts all of 20 minutes. No wonder people put on their own shows in area neighborhoods. Fight traffic with 35,000 other people or stay home, relax and enjoy it with your neighborhood friends.

In my neighborhood I have never heard anyone complain about the Fourth of July. Even the people who don’t buy fireworks come out to watch.
