Letter: Affordable accessibility removed

The decision to use birth control is a woman’s personal decision and her boss should not be able to interfere with it. The birth control benefit law applies only to what insurance plans cover. True religious freedom gives everyone the right to make personal decisions, including whether and when to use prescription birth control based on our own beliefs and what is best for the health and well-being of our families.

It makes economic sense for women and their families to have access to affordable birth control. Unfortunately, because of the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling, affordability has been removed for many women.

As we all know, affordability means access, and access means effectiveness.

The recent ruling by five male justices on the U.S. Supreme Court just set our country back.
