Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing California man who has a serious medical condition and who might be in the Portland area, according to the Portland Police Bureau’s Missing Persons Unit.

Edwin “Eddie” Brown-Kuhn, 54, was recently reported missing in Santa Cruz County, Calif., and police say they believe he traveled to Portland during the past week.

Police said that if Brown-Kuhn’s medical condition is left untreated, it “could seriously jeopardize his welfare,” according to a Portland police news release.

Police described Brown-Kuhn as a white man with blond hair and blue eyes, 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds.

He recently drove a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck with a canopy and California license plates, but the vehicle has since been found, police said.

Anyone who knows Brown-Kuhn’s whereabouts is asked not to approach him, but to immediately call 911.

Anyone with additional, non-emergency information about the case is asked to contact Portland Police Detective Mike Weinstein at 503-823-0446 or mike.weinstein@portlandoregon.gov.
