Letter: First affiliation is for a free society

I am a Democrat and Christian, however, it’s asinine to think that people will solely agree with their preference in party politics. I don’t agree with all things that Democrats or the GOP do or say. Everyone has their own interpretation of the Bible and what God expects. I believe that we should all have respect for one another and help each other. No matter if you’re poor, young, old, black, purple, gay or straight, I believe that everyone has the right to live without struggling for food, education, shelter, clothes or health care. I feel that God would never condone us to leaving another human being struggling if we have the ability to act.
