Letter: Attachment to technology on rise

The Columbian
Published: March 18, 2014, 5:00pm

Do you think teens spend too much time with technology? Statistics show that 93 percent of teens have access to the Internet in their homes and 95 percent of teens use the Internet. That’s a lot of technology use. Seventy-eight percent of teens have a cellphone and 47 percent of them are smartphones. Twenty-three percent of teens have a tablet or computer, which is a percentage close to the adult population.

The rate of teens and technology is still rising. I think teens are spending way too much time on the Internet.
