Home foreclosure prevention: The Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program hosts a free foreclosure prevention and information seminar from 6-7 p.m. at 1409 Franklin St., Suite 101, Vancouver. The foreclosure process and timelines are explained and homeowners are provided with information about accessing free legal services. Jacky Sabin, program coordinator, 360-334-4007.

Employment law update: Attorney Linda E. Frischmeyer will hold a brown bag employment law lunch discussion, 8 to 10 a.m. at the Landerholm law offices, 805 Broadway, Suite 1000, Vancouver. Fee tax help for low income: Free tax assistance and preparation for taxpayers with low and moderate income of all ages, with special attention to those age 60 and older, is available from AARP Tax-Aide through April 15. Photo ID is required for the taxpayer present and must bring acceptable proof of Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number for every person on the tax return. AARP Tax-Aide volunteers, trained in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service, will offer assistance with personal income tax returns at the following sites: Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St.; Three Creeks Community Library, 800-C E. Tenney Road; Cascade Park Community Library, 600 N.E. 136th Ave.; Battle Ground Community Library, 1207 S.E. Eighth St., Battle Ground; Marshall Community Center, 1009 E.
