Clark sweeps baseball DH from SWOCC

The Clark College baseball team swept a doubleheader from Southwestern Oregon on Monday, winning 4-2 and 1-0.

Union High grad Colton Krueger pitched a two-hit shutout in the second game.

Brayden Maney knocked in the game’s only run with a single in the first inning.

Clark, which was swept in a Sunday doubleheader by SWOCC, had nine hits in the opening game of the doubleheader.

Maney and Boyd Lainhart were each 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Kyle Vanderkin was also 2 for 4. Bryce Beavers had an RBI.

Nick Gagner picked up the win in the first game, going six innings. Layne Sutten earned the save.

Clark (12-6, 2-2) is next scheduled to host Mt. Hood in a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Friday, and visit Mt. Hood in Gresham, Ore., on Saturday.
