The new Clark County Skills Center Cosmetology Salon is open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, offering a spa-like experience with state-of-the-art equipment. The cosmetology program and salon recently moved from an off-campus location to a new building on the Skills Center campus, 12200 N.E. 28th St. To make an appointment, call 360-604-1080. Walk-ins are welcome.

The salon provides work experience for area high school students enrolled in the Skills Center’s cosmetology program who are on track to obtain a Washington state beauty operator’s license. Services offered include basic haircuts, $5.50; hair color services, $15-$50; manicures, $6-$7; pedicures, $10-$11; and special occasion packages, $18.50-$31. All services are performed by students under their instructor’s supervision.

The salon operates on days when Evergreen Public Schools is in session.
