Letter: Free our ties to the Middle East

The Columbian
Published: September 29, 2014, 5:00pm

The U.S. does not need Middle Eastern oil. We do not need a war on terror or a “coalition” of any kind because we have no reason besides oil to be there. We have more than enough oil and natural gas of our own. American energy independence frees us from any ties to the Middle East.

As for other countries, including Europe, who depend on Middle Eastern oil, you are on your own. Don’t call us.

Of course, this won’t happen because President Obama and his enviro-nitwit-buddies oppose every effort to use or grow our own energy sources. He is perfectly content to sacrifice our military and our treasure instead.
