Museum’s October ‘haunted tours’ return

The Clark County Historical Museum’s “Haunted Walking Tours” are returning for a third year, every weekend in October other than Halloween (Friday, Oct. 31).

The trips begin at the Museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver, at 7 and 9 p.m. each Friday and Saturday; fees are $10 per person for the public and $8 for Clark County Historical Society members.

The tours will blend local urban legends, oral histories and research on Vancouver’s sometimes-sordid past.

One tale in particular is homegrown, according to a press release, as the museum itself is home to a mischievous presence that walks the stairs and lounges in the basement library.

The tours are for people 13 and older; participants should bring flashlights.

Reservations are limited and go quickly. Pre-payment is required; call 360-993-5679 or email cchm@cchmuseum.org for information and reservations.
