NORTH BEND, Ore. — One of two inmates who jumped a fence at a minimum-security prison in Coos County has been recaptured.
The state Department of Corrections says the inmate was taken into custody about 1:30 a.m. Monday near Lakeside. That’s along U.S. 101 less than 15 miles north of the Shutter Creek Correctional Institution in North Bend.
He was identified as 39-year-old Daniel Oliver Fullmer, who was serving time from Jackson County for methamphetamine possession and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The agency says 44-year-old Harlan Earl Brown remains at large. He was serving time from Clackamas County for burglary and theft.
