GRAY, Maine — Police say a man they were tracking after he took off following a traffic stop was found hiding 50 feet up in a tree.

The Portland Press Herald reports authorities in Windham County caught 30-year old Weston Wing on Wednesday morning after flagging him down for driving over the speed limit. Wing refused to pull over, crashed near an intersection on Route 115 and then ran into the woods.

A police dog located Wing, who authorities say was in the branches of a tree.

Wing faces charges of running from police and driving with a suspended license. A lieutenant from Windham County tells the newspaper Wing has had about 20 license suspensions over the past decade.
