Vancouver-based Integra has agreed to acquire opticAccess, LLC, a provider of high-capacity, fiber-based services for large enterprise and domestic and international carriers.

Founded in 2012, opticAccess operates a 3,500-mile network stretching from Seattle to San Diego, with the majority of its metro fiber route miles in the Bay Area and Los Angeles area. The transaction is expected to close in this year’s fourth quarter, subject to regulatory approvals. Integra did not disclose the purchase amount.

Integra said the transaction will allow it to offer dense fiber routes in all major Western markets, extending the telecom’s capabilities to additional customers.
