Manufacturers and companies with IT, software and technology employees may qualify for funding through the Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council to train workers.

The ProSTEP Employee Training Assistance Fund offered through the workforce development council offsets employers’ training costs for existing employees in certain advanced manufacturing and IT/software/technology occupations.

Companies must be located in Clark, Cowlitz or Wahkiakum counties.

Applications, due Sept. 11, and information are at SWWDC’s website at http://swwdc.org/business-resources/training.html. Or contact Lee Ann Lawrence, employer services manager, at 360-567-3170 or llawrence@swwdc.org.
