Girls basketball: Camas 57, Columbia River 30

Teague Schroeder scored 13 points and Courtney Klemmer added 10 to lead the Papermakers to a season-opening win.

Camas held Columbia River to two points in the second quarter to take a 26-9 halftime lead.

“I was really pleased with how we shared the basketball with each other,” Camas coach Scott Preuninger said. “We were a little nervous at the beginning, but we settled in pretty quickly.”

Maddy Kessi and Emma Fisk each had six points for Columbia River (0-1).
