Girls basketball: La Center 62, Roosevelt 39

Andrea Griffee hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter on her way to a team-high 15 points as the Wildcats bounced back from their first loss with a convincing win over the Roughriders from Portland.

Griffee also had four assists and four steals at the Hoops on the Holiday at Evergreen High School.

Taylor Mills had 11 points, 12 rebounds and three steals, Taylor Stephens had 13 points and Laynie Erickson added seven rebounds as the Wildcats go solid play from their posts.

La Center (7-1) finishes play in the Hoops on the Holiday by facing Parkrose of Portland on Wednesday.
