Letter: There’s never enough bowls

By Ellen and Steve Townsen, Vancouver
Published: December 31, 2015, 5:55am

‘Tis the season for bowl games, and we have 41 (yes, 41) at our disposal. They have a bowl game for everything (The Belk Bowl. What’s a Belk?)

So we felt that all of Clark County’s antics were perfect fodder for creating our own slew of bowl games specifically for Clark County. Play ball.

• Beautifying the Waterfront Bowl: Sponsored by the Port of Vancouver and Tesoro-Savage.

• The East County Bridge Bowl: Sponsor was not found for this bowl.

• No Tolls.com Bowl: This bowl game doesn’t exist, yet the tickets are free.

• Don’t Do Stupid Stuff Bowl: Sponsored by The Columbian.

• Doing Stupid Stuff Bowl: Sponsored by the M&M Boyz.

• Did Stupid Stuff Bowl: Sponsored by the county charter.

• The Thank God I’m Outta There Bowl: Sponsored by Steve Stuart.

• The What Was I Thinking Bowl: Sponsored by Jeanne Stewart.

• The Boldt Bowl: Sponsored by the Liz Pike Write-in Campaign.

• Madore’s Worst Nightmare Bowl: Sponsored by Marc Boldt.

• The Benton Bowl: Sponsored by The Washington State Unemployment Department.

• King Madore Bowl: Sponsored by Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe.

• Mielke For All It’s Worth Bowl: Sponsored by Tom Mielke.

• Eyman It For Me Bowl: Sponsored by Initiatives Make Me Rich and Popular.

• The Narcissistic Bowl: Sponsored by Dave Madore’s Facebook Page.

• The Brancaccio Bowl: Sponsored by The M&M Boyz Keep Me Employed.
