Vancouver — Clark College has changed the name of an established business assistance program, saying the new name and program improvements reflect the college’s desire to meet the better serve Southwest Washington businesses and “community learners.”
The program is now called Economic & Community Development, a name that replaces Corporate and Continuing Education. The changes include a new logo, new website and a new internet address: ecd.clark.edu.
Clark also changed the name of the larger department from Corporate Education to Customized Learning & Development.
The renamed program will continue to offer professional development classes and customized training and consultation services for companies and their employees. The college said the changes follow a two-year research process involving numerous individuals and organizations.
