Girls basketball: Battle Ground 62, Union 37

The host Tigers dominated the first half on their way to the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League win, outscoring the Titans 32-9.

The result left the teams tied at 4-3 in league play.

Jossilyn Blackman scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace Battle Ground (7-8). Kylie Smith also had 11 rebounds and Alena Jarvis had six assists.

Union (6-9) got scoring from 11 players.
