A Hockinson-area woman has been treated and released from a hospital after she was injured by a bullet Monday.

The woman was on her property, off Northeast Rawson Road near the Clark Rifles shooting range, when she was injured, Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Neiman said.

Initial reports indicated that the wound was not life-threatening and that the woman was awake and talking. She was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

The incident is not being treated as a criminal matter, Neiman said, but “detectives are still investigating,” he added Tuesday afternoon.

They are interviewing people, including those who were at the shooting range, he said.

According to a sign at the range, Clark Rifles is closed until further notice for safety reasons.

Authorities have not released the woman’s name.
