JUNEAU, Alaska — Federal investigators are expected to arrive at the site of a fatal plane crash in southeast Alaska.

Pilot Fariah Peterson of Birmingham, Alabama, was killed in the Friday crash of the Wings of Alaska flight that was also carrying four passengers.

The Cessna 207 departed from Juneau and was headed to the community of Hoonah.

Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Beth Ipsen says rescuers will try again Saturday to recover Peterson’s body.

In addition, investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board were expected to arrive at the site.

Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau says two passengers were airlifted to a Seattle trauma center. Sandra Herrera of Juneau was in serious condition and Ernestine Hanlon-Abel of Hoonah was in critical condition.

Two others were listed in stable condition.
