Five Corners — The Veterans Community Garden at the Clark County Mabry Work Center donated more than 1,000 pounds of produce to Share, the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center and Meals on Wheels in the last month or slightly more.

“With all this good weather, our garden just went crazy,” said Lisa Biffle, work crew program manager in Clark County. It’s the first grow season for the garden.

There will be a cruise-in fundraiser Aug. 22 at Wal-Mart, 430 S.E. 192nd Ave., in Vancouver to raise money for the garden project, including a handicapped-accessible covered picnic area.
