Vancouver Community Concert Band seeks new members of all ages to join the volunteer community band, which performs regularly around the area. Vancouver Symphony Orchestra seeks entries for its annual Young Artists Competition, open to music students 18 years and younger who reside within a 135-mile radius of Vancouver. Students can compete in categories for piano, strings and brass/woodwinds/percussion, with the top three candidates in each category competing in a live performance for scholarship prizes. Vancouver USA Singers will hold open auditions for its 2016 High School Scholarship for Clark County singers in grades 9 through 12. The winner will receive $1,000 plus a performance in the choir’s spring concert.
