A Saturday evening kitchen fire displaced nine tenants, including four children, at the Cedar Ridge Apartments, 4200 E. 18th St.
Vancouver firefighters were called to the three-story apartment complex at 7:03 p.m. after residents in one of the units reported a kitchen fire.
Firefighters quickly quelled the fire, but it damaged the apartment and one below it.
The American Red Cross provided assistance to five adults and four children who lived in the apartments.
