Letter: Let teens take responsibility

By Eric Firl, VANCOUVER

I think golf courses should let 14-year-olds drive golf carts. Our little legs get tired after a long day at school and the courses are long. We get tired and our swing gets worse, because we walk. If we did stupid things with the golf cart, like crash them or vandalize them, we wouldn’t be able to use the cart again and would have to walk. The golfer would have to fix it on their own or pay for any damage to the cart or could work it off by helping to fix and clean the golf carts at the course.

There are a lot of responsible 14-year-olds who golf and could handle taking out a golf cart.
