1. Dash of magic

Vancouver magician Craig Martin will perform a show of close-up magic at 3 and 7 p.m. Nov. 14. Martin has performed for more than 25 years as a professional magician and mentalist, entertaining soldiers while serving in the U.S. Army and showcasing his magic at business trade shows and conventions. 2. Native runway

Vancouver’s native community will share regalia, songs, dancing and activities, and crafts for children during Second Saturday at the Water Center. Visitors can learn about the significance behind each piece of clothing and each accessory as participants walk down a red runway in honor of Native American Indian Heritage Month. 3. Mandolin slingers

Evan Marshall and Brian Oberlin are mandolinists known for their solo performances that mix classical, bluegrass, swing and jazz sounds. The pair will celebrate the release of their new collaborative album, “Twin Mandolin Slingers,” with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Old Liberty Theater, 115 N. Main Ave., Ridgefield. 4. Laughing benefit

Hilarity Benefiting Charity will feature stand-up performances by Portland comics Amy Miller, Bri Pruett and Virginia Jones, hosted by Shannan Hunt. Miller was a semi-finalist on “Last Comic Standing” season 9 and won Helium’s Funniest Person Contest. Proceeds benefit Vida’s Ark, a homeless shelter for teen mothers and their children. The comedy show begins at 7 p.m. Nov. 19 at Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St., Vancouver. Tickets are $40 for ages 18 and older. 509-413-9710 or www.vidasark.org

5. Romantic comedy

Clark College Theatre presents its fall production, “Beyond Therapy,” about the foibles of dating. This comedy follows Prudence and Bruce, who both seek a romantic relationship on the advice of their therapists. After a disastrous first meeting through a personal ad, a second try helps Prudence and Bruce discover more. The production runs 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13-14 and Nov. 19-21 in Decker Theatre, Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.
