2A GSHL football: Mark Morris 29, Hudson’s Bay 22

Zack McCarthy rushed for two second-half touchdowns to lift Mark Morris to a 29-22 win over Hudson’s Bay at Kiggins Bowl.

Hudson’s Bay took a 19-15 lead on a 56-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Hickman to Marcus Cadiz.

Mark Morris responded with a seven-play drive capped by McCarthy’s 3-yard touchdown run. The Monarchs extended their lead with a 52-yard touchdown run by McCarthy with 2:31 left in the third quarter.

Bay fell to 2-5, 1-3 in the 2A Greater St. Helens League.

Mark Morris (2-5, 2-2) outgained Hudson’s Bay 332-253, but had 17 penalties for 147 yards.
