Woodland attacked through the air early and often in a 49-6 victory over Fort Vancouver in a non-league match Friday at Woodland.

Quarterback Wyatt Harsh completed his first three passes of the game for touchdowns, finding freshman Tyler Flanagan twice and Jared Cloud once.

The defense added another score in the first quarter as Hunter Raney forced a fumble and Tristan Thomas recovered and returned it to the end zone.

The Beavers increased their lead in the second quarter as Harsh scampered around the pocket and fired to Sebastian Martinez who flirted with the sideline but was able to cross the goal line.

The rain proved to be a factor in the second half, as Woodland fumbled on their first possession. The Trappers followed with a fumble of their own, which led to Cloud recovering and running 77 yards for the team’s second fumble return of the night.

Harsh capped his night off with his fifth and final touchdown pass to Cooper Lucas. Linebacker Logan Knight sealed the victory with an interception in the final two minutes of the game.

Fort Vancouver’s T.J. Willingham finished with 110 yards on 25 carries and was responsible for the lone Trapper score, a 28 yard run in the third quarter.
