Apparently the United States’ representative form of government doesn’t suit Clark County Councilors David Madore and Tom Mielke, as reported in the Sept. 3 story “County weighs C-Tran plan: Madore proposes that its boundaries cover entire county.” Representation is generally determined by population, as is the C-Tran board of directors, but instead they want a direct vote. It’s a waste of time and money.
Population does matter, but the C-Tran issue has little to do with population; it has everything to do with Madore’s anger about being left off the board during its realignment, which actually gave his town of Camas its own representative on the board. But it wasn’t him sitting on the board.
Madore is acting like a spoiled child who must get his own way or else he throws a tantrum. He needs to be sent to a time-out.
