Tak Kendrick has been hired as communications and marketing director for Fort Vancouver Regional Library District and will oversee media relations, advertising, outreach support, publications and manage a staff of five. Kendrick most recently was the communications officer for The Lemelson Foundation in Portland. He replaces Sue Vanlaanen who retired in January.

The Bonneville Power Administration has honored Brush Prairie resident Brian M. Scott, a supervisory general engineer, with the Administrator’s Exceptional Service Award. The award, part of the 2016 Administrator’s Excellence Awards Program, recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to the agency’s mission, the electric utility industry, or the local community.

AKS Engineering and Forestry, LLC, has added two key project staff members to its Vancouver office: Renee Summers joins as project engineer with more than 12 years of civil design and construction expertise. She is currently working on projects for the Battle Ground School District, city of North Bonneville, and the town of Yacolt as well as stormwater design and site engineering for various subdivisions in Clark County. Seth Halling was promoted to an associate member of AKS. He is a registered professional engineer and registered land surveyor in training and has more than eight years of experience in field and office engineering and surveying environments.

Tiffany Couch of Vancouver’s Acuity Forensics, has been elected the 1016 chair of the Board of Regents for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Couch is owner and principal of Acuity which is an forensic accounting firm specializing in fraud investigation and litigation support.
