Fairgrounds — The week of April 10-16 is volunteer appreciation week for Community Home Health and Hospice. The organization recognizes volunteers as an integral part of the services they offer. In 2015, 220 volunteers provided more than 21,000 service hours to the agency. Volunteers are instrumental in supporting hospice patient care and pet assistance, bereavement, fundraising, Hospice Thrift Shop, office assistance, maintenance and IT departments. An independent, community-based nonprofit agency, Community Home Health and Hospice has served the health care needs of Washington and Oregon families since 1977. The organization delivers care to 600 people where they live through home care personal services, home health, hospice and bereavement services in Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties in Washington and Columbia County in Oregon.
