Letter: Opportunity to reverse agreement

By Maureen Lang, Vancouver
Published: April 18, 2016, 6:00am

Gift horse. Golden opportunity. Why give up this chance to terminate the Tesoro-Savage oil terminal lease? Throughout our country, oil train derailments and explosions have had devastating consequences. These communities were probably lured by promises of jobs and financial gains. What would those areas give now, for the foresight chance that we have, to terminate the oil company lease and change their history? Please, Port of Vancouver commissioners, terminate this lease agreement.
