A ninth-grader at Skyview High School was arrested after making a false bomb threat that evacuated the school Tuesday morning, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities received a 911 call at 10:17 a.m. from a Skyview student reporting that he had knowledge that a bomb had been placed at the school, the sheriff’s office said.

The school was evacuated as a precaution and the agency’s bomb squad was called to the scene. Deputies searched the school but found nothing suspicious.

Investigators further questioned the student, who eventually admitted the call was a prank. The student, whose name was not released, was arrested on suspicion of making a bomb threat and disruption of school activities.

The student was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center, police said.

Students returned to class, and no injuries were reported. Parents of students were notified of the incident by Vancouver Public Schools.
