A Federal Way man was injured Saturday night in a motorcycle crash while exiting Interstate 5 in Vancouver.

Joseph E. Raimo, 60, was taking the Fourth Plain Boulevard exit from the southbound lanes of the freeway at about 8:45 p.m. when he struck a concrete island and was ejected from the bike, the Washington State Patrol said in a press memo.

Raimo was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, State Patrol said. He was treated and released Saturday night, according to hospital staff. State Patrol said the crash was caused by Raimo’s failure to negotiate a lane change.
