Washougal – Nobody should be alone on Christmas, says Michele Gregerson, who’s helping coordinate a free Christmas Day dinner in Washougal. Gregerson and her husband, Mike, lead Calvary Community Church’s outreach ministry, which is collaborating with Refuel Washougal to put on the dinner.

It’s happening 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at 1681 C St. Attendees will be served restaurant style and given a menu that includes soup, salad, roast, ham, potatoes, vegetables, rolls and dessert.

“We really want to serve them and treat them and make it a really nice experience,” Gregerson said.

Santa and his elves will be handing out gifts, as well as posing for photos, and there will be a karaoke machine for singing holiday songs. The is the second year of the Christmas dinner, which served just under 100 people last year.
