Weekly voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, will continue through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian winter sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Jan. 30.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

BECCA GUNDERSON, COLUMBIA RIVER BOWLING: Gunderson bowled games of 199-221-162 for a 582 series to win the 3A/2A district title.

KIRSTEN JOHNSON, SKYVIEW GIRLS BASKETBALL: Johnson averaged 16 points in three league wins for the Storm, hitting seven 3-pointers in one game.

MICHAEL STOCKBRIDGE, PRAIRIE BOYS BASKETBALL: Stockbridge averaged 21 points in two wins, including a key league win over Columbia River.

KYLIE WEAVER, UNION GYMNASTICS: Weaver won the vault and floor and posted an all-around score of 34.9 in a four-team meetat Northpointe.

ERIC WU, CAMAS BOYS SWIMMING: Wu won the 200 individual medley in state qualifying times and the 100 breaststroke at the Southwest Washington Invitational.
