Spotlight on Youth

CLARK COUNTY FAIR COURT

At the coronation of the 2016 Riverview Community Bank Clark County Fair Court this month, princesses Shaylee Coleman, Serenity Gibbs and Mikaela Schuman were presented to the Fair Board and the public. Gibbs was crowned queen. The event was the official kickoff of the court’s outreach in the community.

Queen Serenity is the daughter of Shawna Eppers of Woodland. She is a member of 4-H and the Washington High School Equestrian Teams. Serenity’s partner is Missy, a 19-year-old Appaloosa mare.

Princess Mikaela is the daughter of Duane Schuman of Ridgefield and Marla Anderson of St. Helens, Ore. She is a member of the La Center Lucky Riders 4-H club and Ridgefield High School Equestrian team. Mikaela’s partner is Donkey, a 7-year-old quarter horse gelding.

Princess Shaylee is the daughter of Todd and Sheridan Coleman of Brush Prairie. She is a member of the American Paint Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association, 4-H and Washington High School Equestrian Teams, and is president of the Hockinson High School Equestrian team. Shaylee’s partner is Maverick, a 6-year-old quarter horse gelding.
