Evergreen High grad Stephanie Simon is going to be getting some facetime on Showtime.

At 9 p.m. Tuesday on the premium cable/satellite channel, Simon is part of a “60 Minutes Sports” segment on time-honored traditions in America’s military, specifically the U.S. Naval Academy’s boxing program at Annapolis, Md.

Sam Glaeser, who has a chance to make Academy history by winning the crown all four years, will be taking on Simon, who has a National Collegiate Boxing Title to her credit.

As a side note that viewers won’t see in this TV piece that was filmed in the fall, Simon won the Naval Academy’s Brigade Boxing Championship on Friday at Annapolis. And she will be part of the Navy team taking part in a national event in Seattle, April 7-9.
