The Mason County Coroner’s Office determined a Vancouver scuba diver who died while diving in Hood Canal Sunday drowned, but more tests are needed to be conducted to determine what led to his death.

Mason County Coroner Wes Stockwell said Todd Randall MacDonald’s death was an accident.

MacDonald, 56, was diving with a group at a popular diving spot called Octopus Hole, about 10 miles north of Shelton, when he surfaced unconscious.
