VANCOUVER — Two local Starbucks stores have applied for liquor licenses.
The coffee giant’s downtown Vancouver location, 304 W. Eighth St., and the Battle Ground location, 11 N.W. 12th Ave., both submitted applications for a limited liquor license last month, according to state records.
The Seattle-based chain announced last year it would be bringing craft beer and wine to menus in a quarter of its stores as it unrolls what it calls “Starbucks Evenings.”
A second Vancouver store on Mill Plain Avenue applied for a license last year that did not yet appear to be active, state records show.
A dozen shops in the Portland metro area already carry beer and wine, according to an online map of such stores provided by Starbucks.
