Players explore variety of locales in new video games

‘Tom Clancy’s The Division, ‘Firewatch,’ among the titles

LOS ANGELES — If the video games set to be unleashed this year are any indication, this will be a year of interactive exploration.

The lineup includes titles that will send players into the woods (“Firewatch”), under the sea (“Abzu”), over rooftops (“Mirror’s Edge Catalyst”), through outer space (“No Man’s Sky”) and across time (“Quantum Break”).
