Starting Feb. 1, residents and contractors will be able to electronically submit land-use and engineering review plans to the city of Vancouver.

“We are one of the first cities in the Pacific Northwest to bring the plans-submission process online,” Chad Eiken, Vancouver’s community development director, said in a press release.

By this summer, the city plans to bring all building services plans and permits into the online “ePlans” system.

The city hopes to do away with paper copies of plans by the end of the year, according to the news release.
