The Orlando Magic are finalizing a trade to send point guard Shabazz Napier to the Portland Trail Blazers for cash, a source told the Orlando Sentinel.

Napier, 24, had fallen out of the Magic’s plans after a subpar 2015-16 season with the Magic.

Napier figured to be Orlando’s fourth point guard this upcoming season, and NBA teams rarely, if ever, carry four point guards on their rosters.

The Trail Blazers needed point-guard depth behind Damian Lillard.

Orlando acquired Napier last summer from the Miami Heat for a 2016 conditional second-round pick. The Magic never had to convey that selection.

Napier appeared in 55 games last season for Orlando. In 10.9 minutes per game, he averaged 3.7 points and 1.8 assists.

Napier originally was drafted by the Heat in the first round of the 2014 NBA draft.

Henderson headed to 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to terms with guard Gerald Henderson on a two-year deal worth $18 million.

The two sides came to agreement on Tuesday.

Henderson averaged 8.7 points in his first season with Portland. He spent the first six seasons of his career in Charlotte before being traded to the Trail Blazers, where he was a valuable two-way player that helped make them one of the surprising success stories of last season.

Henderson grew up in the Philadelphia area before going to Duke. The 28-year-old joins Jerryd Bayless as veteran additions to the Philly backcourt.
